Welcome to Aikido of Norwalk

Traditional Aikido Training in Norwalk

At Aikido of Norwalk (Kongōshinkan Dōjō), we help people develop confidence, balance, focus, and practical self-defense skills through traditional Japanese martial arts training.

Whether you are completely new to martial arts or have years of experience, you'll find a welcoming community dedicated to personal growth, disciplined practice, and mutual respect.

Our classes emphasize:

• Practical self-defense skills

• Safe falling and tumbling techniques

• Improved balance, coordination, and mobility

• Stress management and mental focus

• Traditional Japanese martial arts values

• Lifelong learning and personal development

We offer programs for adults, teens, and youth, with small class sizes that allow for individual attention and steady progress.

As a member dojo of the Aikido Association of America (AAA), we follow the technical teachings and training traditions established by Fumio Toyoda Shihan while remaining accessible and relevant to modern students.

Located in East Norwalk, Connecticut, our dojo provides a supportive environment where students challenge themselves, support one another, and develop skills that extend far beyond the mat.

No previous martial arts experience is required. New students are welcome year-round.
