Introduction To Aikido Class

This class was designed for those interested in Aikido but who have no prior experience. Fundamental concepts are introduced over the course of 4 one-hour classes. Information is relayed in a step-by-step manner at a pace appropriate for beginners. Among the various concepts and skills introduced are:

  • Posture & Breathing
  • Warm-up Exercises
  • Body Movement and Coordination Exercises
  • Tumbling and Safe Falling Skills
  • Basic Self-Defense Techniques

Students completing this class are then sufficiently oriented to attend Basic Aikido classes and at their own discretion, Mixed Rank and Weapons classes.

The course runs for four consecutive Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30pm beginning at the first Tuesday of each month.

The fee for this class is $40.
